What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your phone number for authentication purposes. We also collect the display name, neighborhood, and interests you optionally provide when setting up your profile.
When you create or interact with events, we store that activity data to operate the service.
SMS & messaging
We send SMS messages only for one-time login verification codes via Twilio Verify. These are sent only when you request a login code. We do not send marketing, promotional, or recurring text messages.
Frequency: Only when you request a login code.
Standard message and data rates may apply. For help, contact us at the email below.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories mentioned above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Data retention
Your phone number is stored as long as your account is active, associated with your user profile for authentication. We do not store third-party phone numbers. If you want your account and phone number deleted, contact us at the email below.
Sharing & invites
When you share an event via the share sheet or text message button, your device sends the message directly through your own phone or app. Death to Calendars never sees, stores, or transmits the recipient's phone number or any message content.
Third-party services
We use Twilio Verify for SMS authentication. Twilio's privacy policy governs their handling of phone numbers used in the verification process. We do not sell or share your personal information with any other third parties.
