Nike Missile Site SF-89L

You can tour the most fully restored Nike missile site in the country, a Cold War-era installation that was part of the U.S. Army's anti-aircraft defense system from the 1950s through the late 70s. It's a pretty wild glimpse into how seriously Americans were taking the threat of Soviet bombers back then, with the actual bunkers and equipment preserved to show what life was like for the soldiers stationed there. Veteran Open House Days (first Saturday of each month) are especially cool if you want to hear firsthand stories from people who actually worked at these sites.
