Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk

Head to this restored prairie ecosystem hidden within Lincoln Park Zoo where you can walk a half-mile boardwalk around a revitalized pond and spot wildlife like herons, turtles, and dragonflies without leaving the city. The skyline reflection in the water makes it feel way more remote than it actually is, and it's completely free to wander around from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. They also host seasonal yoga and educational programs at the Peoples Gas Education Pavilion if you want to get more intentional about your visit.
