Gansevoort Peninsula

Gansevoort Peninsula is a free waterfront park in Hudson River Park where you can lounge on a sandy beach with river views, walk through a Pine Grove, or hang out at the dog park if you've got a pup in tow. The space is built right on solid ground between Gansevoort and Little West 12th Streets, and you'll get stunning views of the Hudson River, lower Manhattan skyline, and David Hammons' sculpture Day's End. There's also a restored salt marsh on the north side that's worth checking out if you're into the environmental side of things.
